The Uptown BRT Project

John Breeding, President and CEO of the Uptown Houston District and the Administrator of the Uptown Houston Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone and Development Authority in Houston, Texas will give a presentation on the Uptown BRT Project addressing three key points. Those points include:

1. A brief description of the characteristics of the Uptown Houston market,
2. The transit challenges facing Uptown, and,
3. Our response and description of the BRT Project designed to meet those challenges.

Upon conclusion of the presentation, a drone video will take viewers on a tour of the Uptown BRT Project.

The Kendeda Building for Innovative Sustainable Design is the first building in Georgia, the first building of its size and scale in the Southeast, and 28th in the world to earn Living Building Challenge certification - the world’s most ambitious and holistic green building achievement. The certification from the International Living Future Institute independently verifies that The Kendeda Building is among the greenest in the world. The Kendeda Building is regenerative. Over the course of a year, it collects and infiltrates into the ground 15 times the amount of water needed for operations. Its photovoltaic system supplies over 200% of the building's energy needs. It gives back more than it takes from the environment and focuses on the health and happiness of occupants.
